Full-arch implants in Vero Beach

Full-arch implants replace a whole upper or lower set of teeth with a fixed bridge on four to six implants. It stays in, and you brush it in place.

Who it suits

It suits people who have lost most of the teeth in one jaw, whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, or who are tired of a loose denture. It needs enough bone and good general health.

The steps

Planning. A 3D scan, photos and a design of the new teeth.

Surgery day. Failing teeth are removed and the implants placed. In many cases a temporary fixed bridge is attached the same day.

Healing. The bone heals around the implants over a few months.

Final bridge. The finished bridge is fitted, then checked over the following weeks.

Compared with a denture

A denture rests on the gums and comes out to clean. A full-arch bridge is fixed to the implants and leaves the roof of the mouth open. It costs more, and it needs cleanings and checks like natural teeth.

Questions about full-arch implants

Will I leave without teeth?

Many full-arch patients leave with a temporary fixed bridge the same day. Your bone and your scan decide this, and we tell you before surgery. If your bone needs more healing time first, we plan a temporary option.

How do I clean a full-arch bridge?

Brush it like teeth and clean under it with a water flosser or special floss. At regular cleanings we may remove the bridge to clean it fully.
